Jomsom Muktinath Trek

Annapurna region is the Most celebrated trekking region in Nepal and Jomsom Muktinath is one of the classical trekking packages in the region. Jomsom Muktinath Trek trail lies on the northern side of the Pokhara city and passes through the spectacular diversity region ranging from the Subtropical lowland jungles to the dry Tibetan plateaus. It is found that more than 75% of the trekkers visiting Nepal trek through this region. Jomsom Muktinath trek also be called as Pilgrimage trek as it takes you to the most sacred land of Muktinath. Muktinath is the Famous pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhist. Abode by the Lord Vishnu or Avalokiteshwara, it is believed that the one who visit the temple washes away all his sins and gain the Moksha or Mukti.

Jomsom Muktinath trek starts from Jomsom itself after you take a scenic flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. En route you pass through the subtropical jungles, terraced farmlands and charming villages receded by different ethnic group of people. You also come across the high Tibetan plateaus; climb the Poonhill (best sunshine view point of the area situated at an altitude of 3,210 meters.). this trek offers you the most spectacular mountain view of the majestic mountains peak like Annapurna south(7,219m), Annapurna I(8091m), Himchuli (6,441m), Gangapurna (7,455m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Fishtail (6,997m), Annapurna IV (7,525), Annapurna II (7,925m), Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Lamjung and many other renowned Tibetan Himalaya ranges.

General Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Today we spend half day for trip arrangements and Half Day Guided Kathmandu valley Sightseeing Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Take an early flight from Pokhara to Jomsom for 25 to 30 minutes then trek to Kagbeni (2750m/ 8327ft). Walking for about 3- 4 hours.

Day 04: Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath 3802m/11512ft) walking for about 5 hours.

Day 05: Trek from Muktinath to Marpha via Jomsom (2665m/8743ft) walking for about 6 hours.

Day 06: Trek from Marpha to Ghasa (2080m/6824ft) walking for about 6 hours.

Day 07: Trek from Ghasa to Tatopani (Natural hot spring at an elevation of 11110m/13361f) walking for about 6 hours.

Day 08: Trek from Tatopani to Shikha (1935m/5859ft) walking for about 5 hours.

Day 09: Trek from Shikha to Ghorepani (2834m/9298ft) walking for about 4-5 hrs.

Day 10: Trek from Ghorepani (2834m/9298ft) to Poon Hill (3210m/10531ft) and back to Tadapani (2520m/8268ft) walking for about 6:30 hours.

Day 11: Trek from Tadapani to Ghaundrung (1950m/6398ft) walking for about 3 hours.

Day 12: Trek back from Tadapani to Nyapul walking for about 5 hrs and drive back to Pokhara by car for an hour.

Day 13: Drive back from Pokhara to Katmandu by tourist bus. At evening farewell dinner.

Day 14: Farewell and transfer to airport for flight back to destination country.
