Helambu Trek is one of the most popular short days Trek 72 km away from Kathmandu valley in Nepal. Helambu trek is famous for its outstanding scenery and favorable climate. Helambu region is astonishingly beautiful with spectacular Soaring Mountain around. Langtang valley also called valley of glacier offers lush vegetation and diverse variety of flora and fauna along with the beautiful landscape. Unlike other trek in the region Helambu trek is comparatively easier one and do not require previous trekking experience. Helambu trek takes you the highest elevation of (3490m) Tharepati.

Helambu trek starts from the Sundarijal itself after you drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. From Sundarijal the trail heads up through the forest area along the stone stairs up to the dam from here you head up to the Chisapani. En route you will get to see the most magnificent view of mountains in the region. You hike up through the pristine forests, River, falls, rugged rock, snow-capped peaks, lush downs and meadows spotted with colorful flowers and stopping at different tea houses to ease yourself.

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu

Arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 : Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal then trek to Chisopani

Drive for 15km from Kathmandu to Sundarijal via bus and then trek to Chisopani (2,300m). Sundarijal is the starting point of this trek.

Day 3 : Trek from Chisapani to Khutumsang

Trek from Chisapani to Khutumsang (2,470m) via Pati Bhanjyang (1770m) and Gil Bhanjyang (2140m) trekking for about 4-5 hrs.

Day 4 : Trek from Khutumsang to Tharepati

Trek from Khutumsang to Tharepati (3490m) walking for about 4-5 hrs. En route you will get to see the spectacular view of the Langtang and Gosainkund peak.

You spend a day in Sermathang introducing yourself with culture and tradition of the local people in the village.

Day 8 : Trek back from Sermathang to Malemchi Pul Bazar

Trek back from Sermathang to Malemchi Pul Bazar (846m) and drive back to Kathmandu via bus. It takes 4-5 hrs of bus drive to reach Kathmandu from Melamchi Pul Bazzar.
