Mt. Manaslu Expedition

Mt. Manaslu (8163m) is the eighth highest mountain in the world and lies in the northern end of the Kali Gandaki valley in central-western Nepal. Mt. Manaslu Expedition is one of the toughest and challenging climbing in Nepal. This majestic peak is only 40 miles away from the Annapurna and has six different routes to approach the summit. Among all these routes approach via southern face of the peak is the toughest one. Mt. Manaslu peak was ascended for the first time by a Japanese team in 1956 after the failure in the year 1953.                                                                               

Mt. Manaslu expedition starts from the Gorkha after you drive from Kathmandu to Gorkha. From Gorkha you trek all the way through the terrace middle hills of Nepal, pristine forests, picturesque valley and scenery of mountains nearby, rivers and beautiful villages until you reach the Base Camp. En route you get an opportunity to explore local custom tradition and lifestyle of the rural Himalayan dwellers, visit famous monasteries and enjoy the most spectacular view of majestic mountains.  From the Base camp you start climbing the peak and set four camps namely Camp I, II, III, IV en route. There are few technical climbing otherwise the route is straight forward up to the summit. While you climb up from Camp I to Camp II the route has a few crevasses wit steep climb whereas climbing route from Camp II to Camp III has slippery sections. From Camp III to Camp IV you have a high risk of avalanches. Finally from Camp IV you approach the summit if the Peak.
