Mt. Shishapangma (8012m.) is the only one eight thou sander that lies fully in Tibet Autonomous Region of the Peoples Republic of China. Mt. Sishapangma which is one of the youngest among fourteen other eight thou sanders is also regarded as one of the holy mountain in China. Mt. Shishapangma Expedition started in 1974 AD only after Chinese government opened Tibet for the Western summiteers. Normally the summiteers approach the peak through its North West Ridge which leads forward with easy angle slopes of 35 degree with only one steep section.
For Mt. Shishapangma expedition you first drive up to the Base Camp which is situated at a height of 5000m. After driving for six long days passing through the pristine forests, rivers, terraced hills, beautiful villages in Tibet and getting acclimatized in Zhangmu & Nyalam you reach the Base Camp. From the Base Camp you hike up to the Advance Base Camp situated at a height of 5400m. You gradually climb up taking rests and get properly acclimatized. En route you set three more camps and take necessary day rest in order to acclimatize you properly. You move forward with the help of fixed rope in some section and use the climbing tools.
Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Spend day for Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley for 5-6 hours and preparation for Peak climbing. Overnight at hotel.

Drive from Zhangmu to Nyalam 2750m
Rest day at Nyalam for acclimatization
Drive from Nyalam to Tingri 4340m
Rest days at Tingri for acclimatization
Drive from Tingri to Base Camp 5000m
Rest day at Base Camp for acclimatization
Hike up from Base Camp to Advance Base Camp 5400m

Rest day at Kathmandu
